I was hiking today...in Tryon State Park and passed what appeared to be my Grandmother. She was walking alone, with a cane on a very muddy, sometimes steep and slippery trail. As I ran passed I was listening to the song, "We Dance Alone" by Sting, and it was speaking about dancing with the invisible ones. We acknowledged one another, and as I was behind her...I stopped, I gave a gesture of Thanks to her for her visit as I just watched her walk away...leaves gently falling from the trees...tears in my eyes. If we do dance alone...how do we perceive it? And as we dance with another...how is this experience shared? I am grateful for both dances, and the fact that I find such beauty and home in either dance.
I can feel my head resting upon her arm...feeling so safe and peaceful. I experienced that exact sensation in her passing by today...or whomever it was that carried her presence so within. I felt her support...and many others who are there every day! I am truly blessed in my being alone or in the company of visible or invisible ones...
Tread lightly, dance sweetly, love without any reserve~

We all have a story!
I had the pleasure of meeting a beautiful woman, probably about 80 years old, a few days ago. Her name was Rose. She has lived on the same block her whole life. I was going in the front door of my son's school and passed her as she was walking down the sidewalk. We exchanged smiles. I dropped off Zeke's tennis shoes for recess, which was my mission and walked out the side door of the school, and there was Rose again. We both laughed, and she asked me if I was a teacher. I said that I was a parent, however we are all teachers!! We stood there for about 10 minutes and I was blessed to listen to her story. She shared her life with me in those few moments, and I made a new friend. Before we moved along with our day...I asked her what her last name was...and this keeps ringing in my ears. She snickered and said that this was the only thing ever written about her, and it was in her yearbook in high school. "How can a Rose be Green?" Her last name, of course, being Green. It puts a smile on my face every time I think of her! So now, Rose, you have been written about twice in your life!!

INSPIRATION
SO MUCH FOR MY EDITING THIS MORNING...YOU MUST READ THIS UPSIDE DOWN. I WAS OUT FOR A WALK IN THE RAIN THIS MORNING AND THIS CAUGHT MY EYE IN THE GRASS, IF YOU CAN'T READ IT...IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER IT SAYS - 'ANSWER'
AND I GUESS THE ANSWER TO THE UNKNOWN QUESTION IS - 'THE SECOND MAN ON THE MOON'.
THE SECOND MAN ON THE MOON, IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW, WAS BUZZ ALDRIN. I HAVE ADDED THE STORY BELOW, WITH ALSO HIS FIRST WORDS ON THE MOON!
I AM CELEBRATING TODAY...THAT BEING TRULY 'PART' OF THE PROCESS AND MIRACLE OF LIVING IS AS IMPORTANT AS BEING MONUMENTAL IN A SPECIFIC EVENT OR PLACE AND TIME. EACH LITTLE THING WE DO CAN BE MONUMENTAL BEYOND OUR WILDEST DREAMS! BE PRESENT IN ALL OF YOUR MOMENTS AND EACH ONE WILL BE PROFOUND!
"BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL. MAGNIFICENT DESOLATION" WORDS SPOKEN ON THE MOON BY THE SECOND MAN ON THE MOON !!

Dear Yahoo!:
Did the second man on the moon say anything profound?
RJDFoxboro, Massachusetts
Dear RJD:
Neil Armstrong's words are some of history's most famous (and controversial). Of course, he was the first guy on the moon, so no matter what he said, people were bound to remember it. But the words of Buzz Aldrin, the second man on the moon, have been a bit eclipsed by Armstrong's sound bite.
Armstrong and Aldrin landed on the moon on July 20, 1969. For whatever reason, Armstrong was the first out the Apollo 11 hatch. Aldrin followed 18 minutes later. According to his official site, Aldrin's first words upon gracing the lunar surface were: "Beautiful, beautiful. Magnificent desolation."
That grand sentiment has been overshadowed by Armstrong's iconic words. But while people will always remember the "giant leap," Aldrin can take pride in knowing he's featured in one of the most famous photos of all time. And his influence as a moonwalker is still felt today. The statuette given out at MTV's Video Music Awards is officially known as "The Moon Man," but it's more commonly referred to as "The Buzzy."

Current Creative Endeavor
The beginnings of a book/screenplay?
Title?
The Sum of the Parts = the Whole
(Story of 3 sisters - 1 brother)
Started the outline...thoughts, etc yesterday while watching my girls swim meet!
What came of it...
The story of life, our lives? fictional characters? as told by our brother, Andy, or fictional character.
Took a break from the brainstorming to get a coffee yesterday mid-day and in the coffee shop was a brochure which caught my eye. Picked it up, was for WORDSTOCK 08 (A Festival - books and literary events, authors, publishers, etc...) Jaia and I attended, met people, made connections, got ideas...
it's happening!
